Default does this make sense to anyone?

im just taking a guess but does the cam position sensor have anything to do with the tachometer in my car not working? first of all my check engine light is on and i checked it with a scanner and it said something about the cam position sensor and also when i try to start my car i have to crank it 2 or 3 times to get it to start. oh by the way its a 1999 Z28 thanks

If the cam position sensor is not working correctly you're going to have a tough time getting the car to start. I'm surprised that it'll even fire with a malfunctioning cam position sensor. Replace it!

[&:] please use throttle body cleaner to clean your throttle body they made it for a reason, its safe to run thru the engine. brake clean can contain chemicals which can damage plastics, seals, cats etc kurt

giants4life07 said to clean your throttle body with brake cleaner. His posts are awating approval, so you can't see it, but the mods can. Which is why his response didn't make sense to you.
