Deformed Frame

Deformed Frame
So a few days ago I took my '98 to a shop to get my wheels alligned. When I came to pick it up the mechanic told me that he "recommends" seeing a body shop because they have found that the car's frame is deformed and had to re-allign thewheels to the irregularity. Now ever since I bought the car two months ago I was wondering why do I have a slightly larger gap between the left front fender and the driver door than the one on the passanger side. Now it seems clear: the car has probably bean in an accident, go hit on the side, and the frame is deformed making once side slightly shorter than the other. I don't think I've ever noticed this reflecting on its performance though. After getting the wheels realligned it drives perfectly straight without me touching the steering, it takes all the turns very well, and I've only spun out badly once in a rain which was because of my own stupidity (floored it in a turn on wet road). So is this something that can be fixed? And if it can, is it worth it and should I do it?

RE: Deformed Frame
i once had a 97 z28 that had a deformed frame, i sold it because at the time i was younger and my mom didnt want me driving with a bent frame, i wish i would have kept it, the shop i took it to said they straighten it for round 4500, if you love your car enough, and you dont have a nagging girlfriend or mom, go for it man...its well worth it just depends on how much you love your car....
