When you say the pinouts test good, is that testing to see if the ECT wiring has shorted to ground or there is continuity in the wiring between connectors? A wire shorted to ground will set the DTC 14 code.

Yes i double checked for broken or shorted wire in fact replaced the yellow from ecm to ect as well as ground....just got info that maybe transmission temp circut may cause this?? Im getting code from my snap -on modis plus ,bit weird thing os the code is stored in transmissio department in scanner not engine dept.???

The transmission fluid temperature sensor uses the same sensor ground as the ECT.

Yes...and thank you for schematic but code is specific to signal wire ,yes?

Yes, but if the sensor lost it's ground and was the same voltage potential on both sides of the sensor thermistor, that would effect the voltage signal being sent to the PCM. Voltage will always take the shortest path to ground. If a sensor shorted and allowed a voltage to pass through it, all three sensors with a common ground would now be the same potential on both sides of the sensor thermistors. At least that is how I understand it, but I could be wrong.
