Cost of engine rebuild or 350 swap

I have an 88 iroc vert and would like to know what I should expect to pay for a quality engine rebuild. And also some sugestions for what mods should be made at this time to increase performance (street use). Or is it a better value to buy 350 crate. I have very little tech exp so any info will
be appreciated. I really want the best for my roc.

You'd probably have more luck posting in the 3rd Gen section. People there should be more familiar with the these cars and what mods are best for them.
