I've raced only once with my 3.8 Camaro, and that was against a stock 5.0. I was sure I was gonna lose, but to my surprise after the first hundred feet he fell back several car lengths and couldn't hold ground. I'm not big on racing, and doubt I'd ever do it again, but it was a fun victory.

 

I don't race anymore either, I baby my car now.

 

not me idc, i got 206k miles and just waiting for it to die for an excuse to get an ls1 swap

 

If I did that I would totally make it look like a stock v6 just to screw with people.

still very hard to believe,a stock 87 gt that isnt even mass air does the 1/4 in around 14.4 vs a 3.8 camaro that does it in around 16.5?and how many stock mustangs are running around?i am switching to a ls1 camaro because that is something that is hard to beat and is the first thing i have found that can straight out performe mustangs.as much as i love stangs i was only beat by 1 camaro and it was a ls1 with a 6spd hense the reason im buying one.

but you get where i was going with this...to an extent, racing is about the driver. but, by saying that, i could say your logic means a geo metro would beat a zr1 because it had a better driver...lets be realistic here
