I have to agree with all here, you don't have a problem with the fans.
As suggested, if the system as a whole does not hold pressure, or you see tell-tale signs of a leak, fix it. Leave the fans alone.

Belt squeaking is because of the current load on alternator due to fans coming on.

If your belt squeaks, you also don't have a gator back belt yet (now sold under the name of Continental).

I don't know why Amazon tells you this isn't the correct belt, I bought two of them, one as a backup in my emergency box that's strapped down inside the boot area, and they're the exact belt you need. I know that the specific belt number is correct, because it's posted on Continental's web site, inside their .zip catalog for belt numbers that are for specific years and models of our cars (98-02 use the same part numbers for both AC and accessory drive through the years).

tensioner could be weak, coolant may be leaking on belt, alternator could be over working it. oil leak if any could be it. once coolant/oil gets on belt and pullies you need to clean them good.

So now to next question: How do I adjust fans to wanted start and stop temp? I think this is possible using a OBD tool, but do I have to get a Tech 2?
As said without the fans plugged in, the temps will go up. 210 degrees is what I consider normal for a vehicle. Both my Jeep and Duramax sit at the 210 mark under normal conditions. The Camaro doesn't because the fans kick on a bit early.

As far as how to get the fans to go on early, you'd have to have a professional modify the computer to do so. However, if this is as stock car or even a mild built car, you are better off leaving it where it's at.
