Convertible top/seat belt. problem

I have a '96 convertible project car

And the top will not go all the way down

it hits the rear seatbelt retractors

hope the pic' gets in here

its hard to see in that pic man. i'd say its out of alignment but i could be wrong. i'd take it to a top place or body shop and see what they say. adjusting it yourself would be rather difficult

I'll try to get a better pic later
But top looks straight when up, goes down with out binding
but what you cant see in the pic is that a cross brace (bow)
is sitting down tight on the rear seat retractor towers

Here are more pic's
As you can see the rearwindow goes down
but the top (frame) comes to rest right on the towers
Doesn't look like its all the way down.
Are these the right seatbelt retractors?
The top would have to be adjusted several inches to miss the towers.

i guess i'd have to look at my car but those seat belt restraints look gigantor. i'm pretty sure mine are flat and compact. i'll get back to you but you may want to look into that
