As was hinted at earlier, the only thing that could be labeled an F-body issue would be the optispark. Any car, no matter what make, can have issues. What and when problems crop up can sometimes depend on how well the car was cared for....or not. Other possible issues are a crap shoot.

Mine rattles, but then again, I have a convertible. That can always be fixed with subframe braces.

As for other issues - AC is also a crapshoot depending on how well it was taken care of. If not used often enough, seals can dry out and the system can leak. Power windows have a known "slow" passenger side, that can be fixed with a relay system. Cruise control shouldn't have anything specific.

Brakes are sometimes an issue - specifically with the ABS module not working right with a blown brake light bulb (go figure).

Oh, and also understand: like torque is good mentioned, this is an older car with an unknown maintenance history - but on top of that, given the type of car it is, expect that the car has seen some abuse. Unless you're buying it as a one-owner car from a "little old lady", I would expect some wear/tear/abuse issues.

ive been prone to seeing window motor issues alot, my 2000 ss window sat cocked to the left until i got that fixed, simple but annoying, my 94s windows were very slow until i got a replacment set of motors and so far the 02 ws6s windows have been good, but i know the motors gm was using mid 90s were kinda crappy

OK good enough. I will go back to lurk mode for awhile. This isn't an emergency, and I can't even get a car into my house for another couple of months with the roads etc.

I am going to keep looking just to price things.

Thank you for your kind and helpful comments.

EVERYONE with DeCarbon/Delphi OEM shocks on a 4th Gen should ALL be looking at either SLP Bilsteins or Koni SAs -- this is the worst part of the 4th Gen's suspension, next -- bigger sways 35/22 or SS sways...

Get new shocks and weld-in some subframe connectors -- it will feel like a NEW CAR!

Since it was in response to Liberty's remark about the OEM shocks, the first one would have mean: Shocks Treat F-bodies Unfairly.
But since Buff seems to disagree, the second one means: Get The Factory Originals.
Sheesh Craby, what did you mistakenly think he was saying?
