Default Clutch noise on 95 z28 6spd [VIDEO]

Lately I've had an issue with my clutch pedal making such a horrible noise when depressed and released. It is not very smooth, its kind of notchy. Car runs and drives fine, there is a little shutter when taking off but I assume thats normal clutch chatter. Any ideas on what it might be before I get around to looking at it?

That could be a fork issue or a failing pressure. There is no such thing as "normal clutch chatter" Clutch chatter is a failure mode. A clutch can still make the car go for awhile after it starts chattering but the only fix for it is to replace the clutch.

My guess would be your pressure plate is failing. Might be a good time to get AAA card and start saving for a new clutch. Even if it is the fork if you have to pull the trans you to fix it you may as well replace the chattering clutch.

Yep just what they said. I'd replace the hole clutch setup. Resurface the fly wheel(if not bad). The slave comes with the new clutch so your good there. We always used LUK clutch.
