What age does a car have to be to be a true classic. There seems to be a lot of different views on that topic! My 2000 Camaro has been turned down by some classic car meets. Because it's too new.

mine is a antique, need to be over 30 years here in Washington. classic car is hard to define absolutely. I like to think mine is mostly because its first year for 4th gens.

classic | ˈklasik | adjective 1 judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind: a classic novel | a classic car.

Usually 25 years,I had the same issue with my '01 SS. Too old to be modern muscle too new to be a classic.
We are the red headed stepchild of muscle cars. lol

Here in PA the state defines a Classic car as anything over 15 years. Anything over 25 is an Antique. Car shows are private events so they can make up any rules they want. I have even seen "pre-WWII only" as "Classic" cars.
