Looking a few years into the future, would I have to get rid of my camaro when I have a kid, or is it possible to put a car seat in the back of a camaro? I guess I could still keep it around, but I don't think my wife likes that idea.

 

I put the car seat in the back of my camaro at least 3 times a month. Its just a pain getting the kid in and out.

 

lots of siblings, so yea, i have done time with carseats in camaro's, lol.

getting the kid in and out isn't as much a pain as if you have to take the carseat out. either way, it's is annoying, but doable.

Right now I have 2 kids in car seats and my wife and I both have 4th gen Camaros. My 4yr old is in a booster seat and we bought some cheap wally world towels and rolled one up and put that in the well part of the seat and then took the other towel and overed the top of the seat. The car seat fits level and he is just the right height for the seat belt. My daughter on the other hand is only 9 months old and she is still in a rear facing seat which gets taken in and out all the time. Again another towel to protect the seat and well it is a pain but very doable. When she is a year old and moves to the forward facing seat we will roll up yet another towel so the seat will be level and one on the top to protect the seat and we should be good to go.

just think of it this way in tweenty year what do you think you kid is going to want to take to prom a station wagon or a Camaro?

 

I have the same problem for my 3 1/2 yr old daughter. Just bought a new booster seat and the bucket seats dont allow it to sit right. I am going to try the towel idea. She complains about the booster seat sort of sliding out from under her even with her strapped in the seat belt (darn leather).
