The check engine light has been coming on like every other day or just randomally. When it first came on was when I first bought the car and decreased the engine, so we got it plugged up to the machine that gives you the number you can look up and it ended up being because it got wet in the process. It just started coming on again today and I have no idea what is causing this... Anyone have any ideas?

Car is parked in a driveway covered up.

 

Did you pull a code? That will tell you the problem

 

Yeah we pulled a code the first time around and it was just because something got wet and was shorting something, IDR but I can get the code tonight and post it here if that helps at all. Thing is it goes on and off, never stays on long then a day or two.

EDIT: It's a 97 RS btw.

 

The only way we can help diagnose a CEL is with the code.
