Default Check Engine Code Question

Well today while about to get onto the highway, as my Check Gauges light came on for gas, so did my Service Engine light. I took it to Autozone (ew) to get a diagnostics done and it was the p0101 code; Vac leak, MAP Sensor or Mass Air Flow Sensor. Nothing is running any different, so I'm assuming it's the MAF sensor. But if anyone else has had this, I'd like some input. Can I clean it and avoid spending $100+?

Clear the codes and drive it around for awhile before buying new sensors. The codes might not come back.

Sounds good. The guy at auto zone cleared it for me after he printed out the code and so far after 2 days it hasn't come back. I'm driving it on a 700 mile road trip in a few weeks or so and I'm just hoping I won't have anything to worry about.

Did you check the gauges when the "Check gauges" lamp came on. Tha lamp comes on when one or more gauges are in the red zone.

The Check Gauges light came on because I was low on gas/on my way to get gas.
