someone needs to tell this kid its a really bad idea to short the compressor. if the compressor isnt coming on due to low r134, just start filling the system. eventually the pressure will build and kick on the compressor.

I have refilled a few hundred systems and I have never jumped the compressor relay, There is no need to. The only reason to jump that is if your tracking down and issue and you think the relay is the problem. Jump it for a second, hear compressor kick on pull it. The kid knows a little about AC system and sometimes that is a dangerous thing.
I could see some kid trying to fix his car so he jumps the compressor while he is hooking up the can of coolant. If the system is empty the compressor will last less then a minute.
There are tons of how too video on You tube for AC by techs. Since all GM car work about the same any given year you don't really need a model guide.
