Not exactley. Luckily for me every year the go up a year for how old the car has to be for emission. And right now its 1995 and older that dosent have to have the emission. So after I pass the emission this year (which is in a month) I'm done thank god. Only problem is a dumbass that owned the car before us had a mechanic turn the check engine light off so that will be a problem when emission comes around. Anyone know how to fix that?

What do you mean "turn the check engine light off"? Do you mean it doesn't come on when you turn on the ignition? If so, that was a dumb move by the previous owner. You'll need to track down whether it has been physically disconnected or if the PCM was programmed differently.

Did you see that in some literature from your state, or on their website? http://www.dnr.mo.gov/gatewayvip/v-owner/need-test.htm
Or are you going by something that someone told you? The reason 1995 and older are exempt is because starting in 1996 cars are OBDII compliant which means the testing station can plug your car into their computer to get the readings. It wasn't set up that way because of calendar year age of the car. Cars 1995 and older used to have to get dyno tested instead. But some states dropped that due to the diminishing numbers of 1995 and older cars on the road, and the hassle of dyno testing. I would check to make sure, because I didn't see any info about a sliding scale on 1996 and newer cars based on their age.

If you talk to Speed Inc., they will advise sticking with the SLP SS Exhaust, and upgrading upstream of the catback instead.

Ya pretty much. Bassically what happend is it came on (I forgot for what) and the owner had it taken to a mechanic and the mechanic turned it off.

It was physically turned off and they took out the air pump fuse. Know any fixes?

I'd get a high flow magnaflow cat, and a magnaflow cat-back.

Find where it was physically disconnected and reconnect it. Then you need to get the code read and figure out how to fix what the light is whining about.
