There's really no room for cats in a LT install unless you want to reroute fuel lines (at least under the LT1/T56 combo). I could have pulled it off if I went with shorties or mids but those aren't worth the money in terms of performance. I've given up.

Photo? What vendor's cat and y-pipe? Sounds like you need to adjust your exhaust downward a bit...

i probably should've taken a photo when i was putting the borla cat back in last week >.<

and honestly I'm not sure. the guy i bought it from in february said that it had two different cats that the dealer put on. 1 in 2000 and the other in january of this year. I didnt see any markings on the cats when i was under there so i have to call the places to find out. but they are weld ons. and my exhaust is stock except the borla cat back

1 3/4 in to a 3 in kooks. fit fine. had to do a little work to get the y pipe to fit. i also switched to a straight cross bar, that dip kept hitting everything. kooks alow for the straight one but the salesmen wasnt sure so i got the header one first.

I would imagine. I wanted to get new headers and high flow cats, but my worry is if there will be fitment issues between the headers, down pipe, and the cat back. the cat back is a 3 inch system but where it attaches on its smaller to fit onto the stock pipes. have you guys ever had an issue with this?
