I tried starting my car last night and nothing happened. There is no noise, i checked the battery and it is fine. I tried jumping it and it didnt help at all. The sercurity light had been on for about a month before it finally went. I dont know if that makes a difference. Thanks for any help.

 

no noise what so ever??? are the lights able to work in the car??? if not its either the battery being connected properly or the battery is 100 percent friend but if lights work and still no noise id think starter is done

 

Since the security light is on I'd say the VATS system finally kicked in. Try cleaning your key or trying a spare one if you have it.

 

how would one go around the VATS system if it did come on and its been the same set of keys being used?
