When is shuts off is while the motor is pulling or is it when you let off the gas?

When you let off the gas the throttle plate close and "hands off" the the idle control to IAC motor. Stalling right after you let off the thottle with no other syptoms can be just a dirty or weak IAC motor or a leaking EGR valve. A engine that just shuts off while under load can be a lot of things. Step one would be to figure out if you are losing fuel, spark or both. You should be able to do this with a scan tool. One with a data recorder would be best.

Next you want to check to see if you loose the signal from the Crank sensor. Remember even as it is dieing you should still see a speed. If your not losing that then I would check the fuel pressure. Based on your description fuel pressure does not fit as the normal fights with you a little as the pressure drop instead of acting like they where just turned off.

After that your in a harness, ground or PCM issue.
