Default Car got hit...

Like the title says...I was at the store today, and when I walked out, I found my car like this. I was parked with a curb on the driver's side, so it couldn't have been hit there. I was in San Antonio to see my brother graduate from Basic Training from Thursday night to Sunday night, so my car was parked the whole time. It either got hit there or at work today.

And I'm not making accusations, but I noticed the front of this TrailBlazer parked outside my apartment:

Screw people who hit somebody else's car and WALKS AWAY. I'm glad 1) I didn't get the car painted yet and 2) I have full coverage.

OUCH! I hate that too. I had that happen to my first Mustang while I was at work and I had witnesses luckly. It was a guy I worked with and he denied it until the manager from the Domino's Pizza next door brought me the description of the car and the plate to confirm it. The guy I worked with said he didnt think any one would care about an old car like mine getting hit, after all it had primer spots on it anyway. (primier spots from repairs made in prep for a new paint job). Either way my insurance covered me and then sued him! Can you match up the damage on the SUV to your car? If so you may be able to call the police and have them investigate.

Seems like a pretty easy fix. I do not think the tahoe did it. What ever the Tahoe hit has a lot of silver paint on it. It also looks like a much bigger area. I would imagine a lot more damage to your car to do that to the tahoe.

The Tahoe was hit 3x on the nose. Look at the angles of the scrapes the first set which are deep are not going to have caused that but the second set which are not as deep and at a slight angle and right on the very corner could have. the 3rd set go down the side of the bumper would have left a more shallow dent on the camaro. Im just sayin.

well the TrailBlazer (not Tahoe) had similar damage on both sides of the bumper, leading me to conclude the driver is rather careless. And the marks on the TB aren't paint left behind, it's scuffs in the TB's paint. Either way, it doesn't matter, because I have no way to prove they did it, so I won't even bother.

Well they call it swaping paint for a reason. That TB is missing a lot of paint. What ever it hit got TB paint on it. Whenever you get kinked metal and no paint left behind your most likely dealing with something chrome. No doubt in my mind that chorme has/had green paint on it.

Take your car to a Dentbusters (paintless dent repair) shop if you have one near you. I've had a couple cars repaired that way, and you'd be amazed at what they can do without having to grind, fill, or paint. And your car looks like a likely candidate. The only paint cracking I see is down low at the bend, and that would be an almost blind fix. Any time you can keep the original paint in tact, the better off you'll be.

I was planning on getting the car repainted anyway (resale value isn't really one of my priorities haha). The big question is whether it all gets painted now, or if I just get the fender fixed and that painted now and do the whole car later.

I hate careless people who don't take responsibility for their accidents. I hope you find who did it. Doubtful but there's always hope.
