98 3.8 i believe needs to be recharged. No air blows out through the dashboard. Will the happen becaues the system isnt charged or am i going to have the dash removed? Any help would be great.

 

Does the AC compressor clutch apply when the AC is first turned on?

 

You should be getting some movement of air through the vents on the dash board regardless of the charge. The inside fan should still come on because it just pushes air both hot and cold.

 

Sounds like you need a new blower motor. That is if there is no flow at all from the vents. Can you hear the fan turning on or does the switch seem to do nothing at all?

 

if no air is flowing then it is probly with the blower or wireing. when you turn the a/c on does it do anything? compressor kick in? can you hear it trying to blow air?

 

Thanks for all the help fellas, it blows out air, and i can feel under the dash when i turn it to only the top vents the pressure builds, but still only blows at the floorboard. I hear the motor when i turn it to on, and i know the motor is good i guess

 

Check the vac lines and the vent control switch. Alot of times, the controller leaks and does not allow the movement of the vent door.

 

Where are the VAC lines? Im new at AC systems. Once again, thanks for the help.

 

 

First thing I'd check is the vacuum *source* to the control switch. This is in the engine compartment near the hood support strut. If the vacuum doesn't reach the control switch the system will default to safety mode and that means air out the defroster duct. Here's the vacuum connection on a 95.
