Default Brake indicator on dash

My brake indicator on the dash came on tonight. I parked at the store everything was normal. Started car and brake light was on. I have checked the fluid level. There are no leaks at any wheel. I can find no leaks down any hoses or hard lines. I pulled the rear wheels. Everything seems fine. I have just over 1/8" of lining on the shoes. The front pads are a little over 1/16" before the squeaker hits.

Also, the ABS Inop light has been on for about 2 months.

Pedal feels normal. Doesn't go down more than usual. Feels pretty firm. Car stops great.

Suggestions???

Bleed brakes? Replace pads / shoes?

I tried removing the connector from the block on the side of the ABS unit...light did not go out.

When I parked, I did not use the hand brake since I was parked on flat land.

Probably an abs sensor on a wheel went bad.

brake light would be with brakes or e brake. maybe stuck e brake light switch. try putting the e brake on and off a few times to see if it does anything. if its in the brake system you can reset it by pushing really hard on the brakes. i mean hard. that may cause the problem to show too.
