boost on a lt1 motor

Question boost on a lt1 motor

how much boost can a stock lt1 handle.
im looking to turbo or supercharge mine .. but i want to know what kind of boost they can handle .. thanks

I wouldn't run anything more than 7lbs on a stock bottom end

and that is with a factory fresh engine. to the OP, how many miles on your engine since its last major rebuild?

its got a total of 78000 but it was rebuilt after 30000, is there anything i can do thats somewhat cheeper to help improve the life of my bottom end? thanks

they arent cheap in anyway. and when you replace it you pretty much have it all done at one time from what I have researched into the subject.
