Body kit ground clearance

Body kit ground clearance
I like the body kit made for the camaro, stock one 2002 usually on a rs or z.Does that make the body sit lower or is it more flared to the sides to give it that look? More concerned about rocker area,I do notice bumpers sit slightly lower. Anouther quick question,if I change shocks/struts I want more performance, are they any different from v6- v8 or ss ? Are the cars also the same ride height? I measured 15 1/2" hub to fender and 16" in back, that same or close to z or ss?

looks yes lower lowering springs would make it to low ,you would rub on all speed bumps ,I have what was called in 99 the sport appearence package looking a lot like an rs ,but it does hit things on mine they payed like $1550.for the option on the 3800.the 2 front pieces came off during a fenfer bender or bad driveing on of the 2,there cool if you drive a lot of flat roads ,probley still cost about the same ,mabey more ,but like you I like them too,the rs for 96 to 97 was the best one,now I have not hit anything in it ,but the owners before me did ,you can get just the front ones to start then the rest of the kit down the road ,this one did not sit as low as the rs for 96 -97 there are bearly any of those around ,but if you see one there nice ,some guys oput them on there v8 cars too this one was like 3/4ths ground kit

yes my red 99 3800 is missing the front piece on both sides ,it makes the car about 3 inches closer to the ground ,but does not lower the car ,yes there cool ,I would like to get a mix match kit for my 95 ,as the back an both sides would need to be for a 93-97 ,then the front from 98 -02 ,with plans for painting it may be sooner then later ,for the 98-02 its 2 pieces in the front ,an with the 96 an 97 RS kit its one piece in the front an was very close to the ground ,on the 98-02 they made is not so close to the ground for that reason it was to close for most places we drive ,an like I said they were an option for the base model to the ss for 98-02 ,for 96 an 97 .but one can get the kit for 93 to 97

I have a 1979 Z-28 with an Fibermotive IMSA nose that has been lowered.(3" ground clearance at the front subframe ) And have these cars.I`m a member of a a Camaro Club.So I some what understand your pain. You just need to remember just how "wonderful" our roads these days and drive accordingly.(Drive ways curbs, etc).

^ nice ride bud!I got a 81 ttop that's blue . You're motor matches the hood, big likes on that. The roads are lame, my driveway is already steep, but that air dam only just rubs sometimes on it. Idk see if I can find one this summer and eye it up. Does look cool tho. I'm going to measure my car coming in drive to see just how close I get.
