Two. One is more of a marker (194 bulb) the other is a dual filament bulb used for DRL and the actual signal (3157).

OK, that's what I thought, just wanted it confirmed. The double filament bulb uses the low light as the running lights, and the bright filament for the flashers. So......how can the second (bright) filament of that bulb be burned out for the turn signal, but magically work for the hazards?

There are two different type of flasher units. Not sure how they both work, but one will flash no matter what, the other I believe has to have a certain amount of current through it. I currently have a flasher that will blink even with a burned bulb. My front left one was f'ed up by whoever owned the car before me. It had a socket that doesn't even fit in the housing, and they have 'custom' wired it somehow under the dash. If I ever get the time, I will figure it out.

The flahser relay and the hazard relay are two different units. My blinker would stay solid but my hazards would work. I changed out the corresponding blinker bulb that was staying solid on the dash and it was good! Bulb is a 2825 (worldpac number).
