Putting wider tires on a stock rim is only going to hurt performance. Perhaps it will help in terms of drag strip type performance, but certainly not for anything in the real world or involving turns. It will definately harm handling, (too much sidewall flex due to the extra "bulge"), and more tire means more unsprung weight. Beyond the ideal tire width for a given rim, (which you are certainly at the upper limit of now,) there is little to be gained. If you want to go wider, it's time to step up to bigger wheels. We are fortunate to have a ton of wheelwell clearance. Just try to keep the overall diameter the same as stock.

Sounds like you're probably running the stock salad shooter with an 8" width. If that is the case I probably wouldn't go above a 255. That said, the extra 10mm isn't going to buy you any performance and they're going to cost more. Seems like a lose lose to me, unless you just want the look of a wider tire.

Hello hello,is there anyone in there lol,you still haven't stated anything about the car except that you have "stock 16s" with 245/50/16 tires.
Assuming it's a 4th gen Camaro with stock 8" wide mags 255s will fit on the rear no problem.
