3 way coax are a scam. Do not get a speaker based on it being a 3 way. I bought a pair of pioneer coax for $40 on clearance. I decided to change out my front speakers as well. I then spent $125 on a pair of JLs. The pioneers are the best $40 i spent. They blew away the JLs. Go to shop and take a listen at what they got. Tell em your price range and go from there.

If you have the Monsoon system in your car and are still using the stock amp the middle speakers (ones in the back seat postition) will be Subs and the amp is putting low pass signals only to that location. If you want full range there you will have to rewire the amp's outputs from the rear most location to the middle. It is not hard to do you just need the schematics.

I have RE Audio coaxials in my car and they sound really really good. They're supposed to out-perform JL Audio but for only like $50 on Ebay. Mine are 70watt RMS rated. Take a look. You won't be disappointed.

RE is very good. Brands like RE which are not sold at retails stores usually outperform store brands substantially and for less.

^Exactly! lol They're the best sounding speakers I've heard in a f-body. I mean honestly, component sets from brands like Alpine and JL are nice and all but they seem to be overkill on the highs. The RE coaxials have very very good clarity and have a very nice mixture of highs and mids. Not overkill like some of the name brand competitors.

i usually dont replace the rear trunk speakers. They dont do much of anything. Just run new wiring it would be easier.
