there was one here in NY around october for sale with 18 and 19" vette rims, maroon with white stripes, exhaust,tinted and lowered for 7800. i wanted it sooo frickan bad, but my dad wouldnt even look at it, he hates looking at customized cars, especially if it has suspension customization

 

ur's by chance a LT4 too? and u have a 3000GT? if u do, it a VR-4?

 

dam a 97 slp ss and silver that is my fav !!! but i dont want the stripes and i like the whale tail spoiler upgrade on that car but thats me .... kinda rice but my cuz had one and that car was dam mean lookin .....

 

i woulda snatched that in a sinch.. but suspension could be one of the better mods to have for performance or a more enjoyable ride. my dad is the same way

they only made 100 97SS cars with a LT4 and they were all 30th anniv. cars . white , with stripes , and houndstooth interior. the LT4 was rated @ 330hp. and the same tq as the LT1. the LT4 had a different intake , heads , camshaft , roller rockers , timing chain , 4 bolt block , filet cut crankshaft , dual mass balancer , and no EGR valve (the overlap on the cam made it redundant)and a few other little things. if you convert a LT1 to a LT4 and add a GMPP Hot Cam kit they say it will make 425+hp, but it's pricey (*last i checked it was $2300 , and you had to have the comp. tuned yourself)

 

Truthfully you're better off going for all aftermarket parts instead of the LT4 conversion heads/cam/intake. You can get a lot more power for your money if the parts don't have GMPP stamped on them, plus an actual GMPP LT4 intake is pretty hard to get your hands on, but Edelbrock has started to make a reproduction.

 

he wont even let me buy a lowering kit for my ION, through saturn, cuz his beleaf is it messes the suspension up.. it comes stock with what they factory thought was best. same thing when we're looking for snowmobiles and such.

 

i'm in iowa...bout 20 miles south of the minnesota border though. how bout you just give me the money to lt4 my car and then i keep it? haha. i got plans for the car performance wise, just working on the cash. and just so you dont' get your hopes up...my car will never be up for sale, HAHA
