LS1 ftw... i love my LT1 but damn its a pig lol. and SiR did you by chance name your self after the raceway in Washington SIR? (its like PIR or something now) Kuz i live around that area.

 

2002 from what I've been told. I've read that's when they started using the LS6 intake from the factory and also remember hearing something about a different cam? Anybody knowledgeable confirm this?

 

I thought it was just SS/WS6s that used the LS6 intake?

 

98-00 bigger cam EGR & LS1 intake
01-02 smaller cam no EGR & LS6 intake, better oil pump i believe

 

Hell if I know, I had a friend who's pretty knowledgable tell me that they didn't start using the LS6 intake on the LS1's until 2002 for both the SS's and Z28's. From what I've gathered the main difference between an SS/WS6 anda Z28/Trans Am are looks and a slightly better stock exhaust.

 

jhl is correct on the manifolds and the ss and z28 haveing a diff exhaust/looks umm is a no ****er lol sry to be rude but yeahhhh i think we no this lol lmao

 

and for the best i would say a 97 slp ss but thats me
