Default bad water pump

I took my 96 3.8 Camaro up to Dobbs after school today to find out why it's overheating. Turns out the water pump is bad. Does anyone know how hard these are to replace? Dobbs wants about $385 to install and that includes the water pump, coolant, serpentine belt, and labor. I'm pretty good at working on cars, I've done all the work thus far on it from changing out the alternator, plugs and wires, rotating tires, replacing the thermostat and other small stuff like that.

Tell them to shove it. I'm not sure how much a new water pump is, but I know it's not too bad. They are easy to change out. Loosen four bolts, take off belt, take off pulley, unbolt/remove water pump and gasket, install new gasket and pump, attach pulley install belt, make sure pulley bolts tight. Hour to two tops.

They wanted to charge me $67 for the water pump. I can't afford spending $385 to get all that stuff done. I went up to Auto Zone an hour ago and boughta Duralast water pump brand new and it came with the gasket. It was like $37 and it came with a lifetime warranty (for the time I own the car). I also bought a new serpentine belt because the one on it now is dry rotted. Dobbs is good for some stuff but when it comes to high labor jobs like this they try to get you with that, they wanted $200 for labor alone to do this! I like working on cars and I wouldn't say I look forward to stuff like that breaking but I would rather it break and I then learn how to do it rather then dish out the big bucks, lol.Well thanks 02StanGT, I thought thats how I was to do it but I wasn't sure if I was going to need any special tool to remove anything else.

Here's a walkthrough. It's about midway down. Good luck. Like I said, it's pretty straightforward.
