Default automatic / 6-speed swap

after putting in the 6-speed out of a '98 into a '95 automatic, the tranny mount wont match. does anyone know of an aftermarket transmission mount that is made of this kind of swap? i have a brace that i made myself for now, but i'd like to have a manufactured one.

also, the clutch always gets really loose when rapidly accelerating, making it harder to switch gears. and sometimes when it sits i can't get it into gear while it's running because the clutch is so loose. any ideas?

how far offs the hole for the mount on the transmission Xmember? you can always drill it out a bit and maybe it'll fit... or maybe rotate the mount 180 degrees also.

i am unfamiliar with manual camaros, but im assuming the clutch is hydraulically activated. if so, you might need to re-bleed it. my DD civic was swapped to manual, and before i got the clutch bled it would not go into gear.

the old bracket doesnt match up at all. also, i bleed the clutch all the time. i was thinking maybe there is a leak that keeps sucking air in the line, but i figured it would also leak fluid if that were the case and it's not. and it's only hard to put in gear if im really getting on it or if it sits for a little bit. otherwise it goes into gear fairly easy.

You are using the 98s Xmember? The mountings for the updated body are different than the mountings for the older nose. I dont know why they did this. When my friend put the LS1 in his 96 he had to make a bracket that adapted the new tranny mount to his body. To my knowlege there is no after market for this swap. You could try to find the tranny mount for the 93-97 body and see if that works.

alright, i'll run by a junk yard and pick up a braket. i have a piece of flat stock steel as a braket for now, but i can feel the tranny hitting the car at times upon acceleration.
