Default angle torque help

i am still working on my 1996 3.8 v6 camaro. i bought this angle torque that comes with this little metal bar and its not working out for me. i got them all torqued down to 37 now i starting to angle them to 120. i got the first bolt and the second one is screwing me up...its hard to hold that bar and turn the wrench at the same time and i think i only got up to 30 degrees on the second bolt and it feels like i cant turn it anymore and i'm scared to overtighten it....helpp

Can you post a pic of the tool you have? I have seen a few different types and they all work the same but they hold in place just a little different.

OK the angled bar can be positioned to any place to lock it from turning. After that move the angle wheel so you can read it, and center the red needle to the 0° and turn to the proper angle.

I have not had the chance to put a set of heads on the 3.8L engine. So I am not sure how tight they are supposed to feel.

you probably over torqued them already by holding the angler wrong. You are suppose to place the bar against something not push the opposite way. If you pushed the bar the opposite way then you probably way over torqued. I suggest you resurface the head again and try again. Not only that you need both hands to properly torque bolts so it should be impossible to hold both tools. Put one hand directly over the head of the wrench to keep it still and the other on the end of the wrench to turn.
