Alright What the HECK!!???
So I am a huge fan of camaros and trans ams z28s SS, firebird, etc all the f-bodies by GM are beautiful... I was out driving one of my camaros, v6 unfortunately, and i see another one sitting and i stop and start talking to the guy, he said he just sold his mustang and had to drive a Civic for a while so he quickly bought a muscle car, and he said that his camaro was garbage compared to his mustang and they were both 3.8 v6 and stock.... and then he goes even further saying LS1 is garbage... now iam ready to get out and punch this guy in the face for dissing a great block, iam building a 383 stroker motor right now but i have alot of friends who own ls1s and they love them! he said that his buddies 2004 Mustang GT with about 500 dollars in mods could crush any LS1 in town ... its a supercharged 4.6 liter v8 ... (4.6 liter!!!) honestly up against a 5.7 you have a huge gap in motor size right there so the camaro should have the advantage but he modded it with "500 dollars" and now its got an AMAZING amount of torque and can walk over GTOs and all cars that roam our streets apparently... as i sit in complete amazement still wanting to pound the **** out of this guy ... i question is it possible for a stupid little 4.6 liter mustang to out do a Camaro when it only has "500 dollars" in mods? it is supercharged i give it that, thats a big booster but the camaros got more raw torque and more power, he claimed it was at like 450 torque roaming around the streets and thats only after 500 dollars in mods, well i checked it out and that seems very off!! Mustangs dont have nearly that much just plain stock, then only putting 500 dollars into it? If it is possible you could probably put 250 dollars into a camaro and get a hell of alot more than 450 torque even though that number cant possibly be right.... Iam building a 383 for my 77 camaro, that should put close to 400 torque out ... the question is how the hell is that even possible for his mustang to do more than 450?!! ARE FORD BLOCKS THAT MUCH EASIER TO MODIFY?!!!?!? i just wanted some of the other LS1 lovers out there to throw in some opinions!!!

You should have told him you wanted to see what mods that GT's got for $500. Its impossible to get a supercharger for $500. I beat a full bolton and tuned GT when i was completly stock, yeah LS1's suck..............NOT. You should have told him he was an idiot and drove off.

Thats funny that you would mention that because thats basically what i did after he said Mustangs will always outsell camaros and firebirds because there cheaper and better for horsepower i just said well there bringing the camaro back and hes like for what purpose no one wants one and i said well i think theres a good majority of people who still want to drive a real muscle car not some piece of ****!! and then i drove off and i spun my tires just a tad bit, you know because the chevys v6s can actually do stuff like that ! but i have the feeling that while he was driving his mustang he thought it had more power because dont they have different gear ratios so they are quicker out of the hole but not over all i mean **** i have 3.42 gear ratio in my v6 and its got a bit of pep nothing compared to a v8 but still enough to keep me satisfied with it as a daily driver.

Hah thats a good point.. Damn i really want to buy a LS1 block and build it up just to dominate the crap out of this mustang... but with the cost of finishing off my 383 and having 2 camaros already... iam close to broke!! i guess i could sell the 77 and put the 383 in the 96 that would be cool eh? even though its a 1977 350 block!

He could have refering to an 04 Cobra, which is supercharged from the factory. A pulley, tuneand catback will get one of those around 425-440 rwhp, but that will cost more than $500.
