ahhh!!! WTF?!?!?!?
yeah i know, i jsut e-mailed this F-body warehouse around here that orders parts/ has a big stockpile of used f-body parts and i was like "ok i need a low milage (under 100,000 miles) engine that will fit in a 97 f-body and is a V8. It doesnt mater to me if its an LS1, an LT4, or even some random shortblock, i need atleast an Lt1..thanks"
haha so i gave them a wide spectrum.

Remember the LT1 that came in the Corvette and Camaro were the only ones that had the aluminum cylinder heads. The Impalla and Caprice didn't have as much power.

No, if you were doing a whole new top-end it wouldn't be that big of an issue (the Impalla/Caprice LT1 also had a different cam that was a geared more towards torque instead of power), but it's kinda nice to have as much power as you started with if you can.
lol yeah tell me about it -_-..
hmm well i dropped it off at Chevy this morning.. i told them i thought it was a spun rod bearing so the dude said they'd check it and id get it back tomorrow morning...?
How hard would it be to put an LS1 in there?

yea, but that wont mean anything in the actual swap. what will is the weight, carputer, and engine mounts. and height of engine, cuz, again, im not sure if the Catfish 4th gens are a little taller or not(hood).
well hell, if ur going to swap in an engine that would be the way to go, buy the cheaper motor and swap all of the cool parts in it while its out of the car. did the caprice lt1 have reverse cooling as well, or was that only the camaros and vettes?
