Sounds like a bearing problem to me. Were you stressing out the engine at the time it started?
Expensive repair if done properly. Crank journal and connecting rod damage is likely. If that is the case, you might as well go ahead and rebuild the engine, or get a short block assembly.

yeah i figured as much.. i just have no idea how it would have happened, unless whoever had it before me did it a long time ago when the car was new and just did a temp fix, but i doubt it. and i havent really done anything insane or abnormal with it lately...

putting on exhaust wont cause a spun bearing. unless the guys at the muffler shop beat the **** out of it for you. your motor is done son.
