yah and a real buthead can clear the codes just before you come to look it over. ask if you can test drive it to the parts store to have it scanned that way if there is a problem thats going on all the time then on the way it should reset the code or codes. bring along an uninterested party so if need be you can be dragged away kickin and screaming. lol. its always best to have it diaognosed by a shop before buying. any honest seller should be more than willing to let you have it done.

They might, might not. It depends on whether it's an inconvenience for them or not. Worrying about liability might be an issue too.
Are you looking at the red one in Wauconda? I know a couple of trusted mechanics in the area that you could take it to for a check up.

The seller should let you do that, but you gotta pay for it.... if they wanna sell it they will let you do this. just make sure they still have insurance and what not on the car if you intend to drive it there. Possibly have him drive and you go along with.

how about asking if anything is wrong with. -_- and then taking it to a mechanic
