Default After Market Warranty

Has anyone had any experience with those after market warranties? I've researched some and did get a quote for my 94 Z28, I'm trying to find a way to get the blown head gasket fixed (exhaust gasses mixed with coolant) with someone else paying for it..plus if there are more issues with this car that I have yet to discover, I would like some peace of mind. think that a fixed cost is better to deal with than trying to fix things when they break....since I've only had this car 8 months I just wonder what else is hidden.
The car runs great, does not overheat, no starting issues, stopping issues, just need heat, the AC has a leak somewhere, drivers side window needs a new motor, front end alingment, and a new headliner....

Thoughts??

I had one from Great Lakes Warranty company, came with the car from the dealership. It looked like it covered a lot, but really didn't. It was absolutely useless. It covered the water pump, but nothing with the radiator when I had issues last year. I also wasn't allowed to do any performance modifications with it. All the problems I had, they didn't cover. They ended up going out of business anyway. Can't imagine why.

Big waste of money. They only pay for things that never break or never wear out. Make sure you really read the policy before signing up.
