Default ABS light on acceleration

When I start my car (95 3.8L Camaro), I will have no warning lights, but after driving my car for a minute or two... if i accelerate moderately, the abs light will typically come on and remain on until I shut the car off. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? for the first minute or two... the brakes are extremely touchy, or when in snow, the abs will work. but as soon as the light comes one, the tires will just lock up if you slam on the breaks. I cannot seem to figure out what it is... any suggestions would help. Thanks

Most likely a wheel sensor or wiring problem. But to make sure have the car scanned with an ABS scanner & see exactly what the complaint is, and take it from there. Much cheaper than throwing parts at the car. Also make sure all the bulbs in the center brake light are good.

Don't know if the code reader for the pre-'96s are the same as the after '95s, but I agree. Mine had the same issue, and I wound up replacing the front bearings and sensors (they're one-piece).

Basically, every time you shut the car off, you reset the ABS indicator. Move, and after a while the system senses a problem and shuts the ABS off. With mine, I had no brakes whatsoever for the 3-4 seconds the system decided it wanted to shut off.

Its just a sensor problem i had a problem with my ASR turning off after some time I've changed my rear brakes and rotors and it went back to normal. Just do the somple things first change your brakes and inspect you calipers one of mien had a crack in them so replaced it.

Front brakes are all new.... rotors and pads. everything appeared alright from a visual inspection when taking it all apart. I will do the rear brake shoes sometime and see if that helps. Funny thing is.... this morning the light never came on on my way to work. its so crazy.... sometimes it will come on almost immediately (even with heavy accelerating) and sometimes it wont come on. Geez... I hate abs. what happened to the good ol days of pressing on the brake pedal and it just working...

Another stupid question - you've swapped the hardware, but have you rebled the lines at all? Normally, a bubble will trigger a "brake" light rather than an ABS one, so I still think it's a sensor somewhere. Maybe the front ones got knocked loose with the hardware change (they're inboard of the front bearings).

Yea its wheel bearings or sensor, Its not a brake hardware. You can change all the brake hardware and it will make no differents.
