Default ABS/Brakes Need Help !

Howdy, Regarding my 95 Camaro. 3.4, This AM my ABS light went on,Later, the brake light, Brakes seem to be working fine, Regardless, I was going to do front pads anyway, rear are drum, So I went ahead & did new front brakes, Checked the brake fluid, Its perfect, Right where it should be, Started the car, Pumped the brakes, They are tight & solid, The brake pedal is up where it should be, But I still have the ABS & Brake lights on, Any ideas ???
I got no diagnostic error codes, But my scanner does not do ABS, Just thought Id check anyway. Any Help would be Most Appreciated !!!
Thanks in Advance
Jim

I have the same car, had the light go on, bought and replaced the ABS motor pack, problem fixed. The stock front brakes suck, I would suggest considering upgrading them with more than a single piston...

I paid a shop to do the ABS scan, as my scanner doesn't scan ABS either, they can provide you a printout of the flow-chart for the issue. Mine pointed to the ABS motor pack. Bought mine from gmpartsdirect.com Another possibility, but unlikely, is that a speed sensor is on the fritz (2 in front, 1 in rear), so if one is bad, then it will read a different speed from the others.

Oh, and get rid of the sucky rear drums too, I replaced mine, and it's MUCH better!

Well as you know, ABS pulsates the brakes in an effort to improve stopping ability. You can drive without it working, obviously ABS adds a degree of potential safety. I would get it fixed as soon as you are able.

Don't forget to check the 3rd brake light. Some have posted that the bulb being burned out in the 3rd brake light caused the ABS light to energize.

Yes, that happened on mine. But the center brake light being out won't cause the brake light on the dash to light up, and Shoeboy said that both the ABS INOP and BRAKE lights were lit.
