Default 98 V-6 speedo question

Hey guys got a stock v-6 camaro 3.8l 1998 model year, my led for the odometer went out and it's very annoying i like to see when it's time for oil changes. my question is the speedo only goes to 125mph and all the new ones i see on e-bay or the dealer are the SS 150mph speedos. can i put a 150mph speedo in and calibrate so the speed isn't off?

THere is more to the Z28/SS cluster that is different than the speedo. You would have to calibrate the oil pressure and Tach too. The oil pressure gauge on the Z28 only goes to a max of 80PSI and the 3800 has a gauge that reads 120 max. They do this to put the optimum oil pressure in the middle of the gauge since that is the most accurate part. I would not try to adapt a Z28/SS cluster to a V6, dont worry about the 125/150 MPH the speedlimit is only around 70 max, and the V6 computer will max the car's speed at 120 any way.
