My stock 97 z28 has been idling rough and also shutting off on me when I come to a stop. The only thing done to the car is I did the torqhead Opti delete and it worked great for about 3 months and all of the sudden it started to stutter every time it would shift into 2nd gear. Replaced the crank sensor on torqhead kit and that seemed to go away but it now is idling rough and shutting off after I've been stopped for 4-6 seconds. Need help!!!

 

have you tried scanning for trouble codes.

 

It's not throwing any codes...the ses light will cut on when it stumbles but then cut off once it smooths out or when it shuts off

 

not sure what the system you have uses. unhappy fuel pump, ignition control module, iac, tps, map, maf, plugged cat, thats all i can think of..

 

double check the connections and wires at the crank/cam sensors

 

Crank and cam connections I've already checked....fuel pressure is at 36-37 at idle which I know is low but wouldn't think a couple psi low would cause all of this. Also I took my battery/system check machine and said I had some bad diodes in the alternator and my dash cluster head and tail lights are always flickering

 

almost sounds like a ignition switch problem. or wiring. check plugins on the pcm?

 

check your fuses, for sure the ignition fuse. more so the tangs where the fuse plugs into. sometimes they can get crud grown on it or they just dont come together enough to connect to the fuse right.
