97 RS Fuel line leak

97 RS Fuel line leak
There's a leak in one of the plastic looking fuel lines about an inch before it connects to a metal pipe going to the (I think) fuel rails.
How can I fix it?
It seems the lines run all the way to the fuel pump (i guess), and I'm not sure how hard it would be to take everything off. Is that the way to do it? Also it it just called fuel line?
Or can I somehow add a connector of some sort and remove the part of the tube that's leaking?
Thank you all for the help.

Plastic lines are noramlly bought already made to application. As in order it from the dealers. You can have lines made but most plases will not mess with the 17 year old factory line so splicing in a repair is not really going to work. If they try to add something to it and it cracks a week later that could be in a lot of trouble.
To the best of my knowledge you have three options.
1.) Buy a new one from the dealer (assuming they are not discontinued)
2.) find a hard core type parts store and have them make one up for you.
3.) find a one in a junk yard.
I am curious if there are any other options out there but you do not want to do the repair half way. Fuel spraying at 50 PSI can make for a very bad day for a lot of people.

Thanx Gorn.
I guess the junk yard would be the cheapest way.
In anycase, how hard is it to replace it? as in is it easy to disconnect from the fuel pump/tank(idk) and to pull the pipe out? and is there a guide you can refer me to?
If Im getting one from the junk, whats the easiest way to check that one is not cracked?
Thanks again.

Step one would be to head over to the manuals section and get the manual. It should have all the info in there on how to remove it. Is it the high pressure side coming from the tank or the low pressure line? Low pressure should be the larger diameter.
High pressure will just run to the fuel filter. Low pressure may run all the way to above the tank.

plastic part of the fuel line should end under the driver about at the door jam along the sub frame rail. goes inside the fender and come out down there then changes to steel. only one that stays plastic is the evap line. pressure line should be a little bigger than the others.
