Hey guys...here is what I want to do. I bought LED strips to install inside the car. I am trying to tie them into the existing interior lights so that they turn off after a few seconds after the doors are shut. I tried patching into the interior lighting wire out of the BCM, but they stay on even when the car is turned off. Has anyone tired this before and if so where am I going wrong? Does it need to be a loop? Do I need to use the interior lights out for my hot wire and the and the interior lights in for the ground through the BCM? Hope that makes sense?

If I need to install a switch I will, but It would be nice to have it come on automatically...and if I want them on all the time I can just do it through the dimmer switch.

Any ideas??
