Default 97 camaro 3.8 clutch wont bleed

so i replaced my clutch with a stage 2 clutch, put a new slave cylinder on and replaced the throw out bearing. me and a buddy are trying to bleed the clutch and cant seem to build pressure on the clutch. the fluid comes out but i dont feel a thing on the clutch. its a 97 camaro with a 3.8l and a t5 transmission. anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like a bad master cylinder.

from earlier posts that ive been reading on this forum, i have noticed other with the same issue and i think either lots of brake bleeding or a vacuum bleed might be the solution.

How are you bleeding it? Press clutch, open bleeder, close bleeder, release clutch. Repeat. If you release clutch wit the valve open you are drawing air back into the system. I don't think gravity bleeding is going to work at all.
