95 v6 to v8 swap

Default 95 v6 to v8 swap

I have a 95 fuel injected 3.4l v6 5 speed camaro and I wana know how much work it is to drop a carbureted v8 in it ? What do I need as far as mounts do I need to change my tranny and drive shaft ect.

You need to change everything. Its not worth it, your looking at an easy 10,000$. Sell your V6 and buy an LS1, it will be about 6000$ cheaper and have more power than you'll need.

Listen to BC.

The cost of such project is more than the car is worth and in a lot of cases, devalues the car. It requires the car to have a lot of down time because a lot of things need to torn out, rerouted, or rewired.

Socom did the V6-V8 swap too, but kept his FI.
I'd like to hear back from both these guys once they are all done, to see if they would do it again, knowing what they know now.

i think going from a 3.4 to an lt1 wouldnt be too bad as long as you have a complete donor car, but if thats the case id just drive the lt1
