95 Trans Am LT1 into 97 Z28?

If I remember correctly, the 97 LT1 has a different front cover to accommodate a crank position sensor which is used for misfire detection. The 97 car is OBD2 and the PCM is gong to complain if the sensor is missing. The 95 had an OBD2 style diagnostic connector, but the PCM is still OBD1, so don't let that confuse the issue.

Leave the '95 engine the way it is & have the Crank Sensor codes "Turned Off" by a Tuner, I have been using PCM For Less for the last 10 years to do this.
If you want to retain the Crank sensor, You will need the, Balancer Stub, Crank Key-way, Reluctor wheel, Front cover & Crank sensor off the '97 engine.
To get the Key-way off you need to remove the Timing Gear on the Crank.....There is a 50% chance of it breaking when you try to pull it off. LT1 timing sets are not cheap.
