Default 95 Frames

Hey guys I'm new to the camaro scene. I'm looking into a serious street strip build. I have the chance to buy a car cheap and have a question. On fourth gens are there any major differences in the frames of a v6 car vs a v8? The car is v6 and I'm going to swap in a lq9 if the frame can handle it and not have major strength issues.

You can switch the K-member, It does not matter which car you buy but I would pick up a 98-02 LS1 K-member, If you do then the LQ9 is a direct bolt-in with an LS1 oil pan.

Thanks for the info!! So I was thinking an aftermarket K-member. Your saying that year k member is direct bolt in. So literally no special mount fabrications? I'm no the best with cars. I'm a heavy equipment tech but I want to build a full on race car. Money is not a problem.

All 4th gens have the same K member mounting. Meaning a 2002 Kmember will bolt into a 1993. The only real difference is they are engine specific. If you look in the project section there are a couple V6 to race car threads.

spohns makes a nice heavy duty kmember an control arms. also would recomend weld in sub frame connectors, shock tower brace wouldnt hurt and tunnel brace relocation of the torque bar.
