Default 95 Camaro 650 -700 hp

Okay guys. So I have this race with this guy. He has a 92 Mitsubishi. It has about 400 horsepower and he's going to make 600 I need an engine for a '95 Camaro 4th gen that will make at least 650 to 700 horsepower with no fabrication just bolt on and tune. ps it has to fit a 95 camaro

Well you'll need a lot more than an engine at that horsepower,
You didn't say if you have a stick or automatic but a stock clutch will not hold that power nor will a stock automatic.
Your stock 10 bolt rear end will not either and your body will twist without sub-frame connectors and your stock suspension will not be adequate either.
No amount of bolt ons with a tune will get you to 600-700 hp the entire engine will need to be rebuilt with a lot of expensive performance parts and that's assuming your car is a Z28 with a v-8.

Default Yes

[QUOTE=Y2Keglide;742331 yes it's a 5.7l v8 it has a six speed manual and I already understand the body and diff won't handle it just need help about the engine. And when I was talking about fabrication I was talking about engine mounts and stuff like that.

What you want does not exist, It could be built but you are taking a huge check (15-20K engine only). Your best bet would be to find a LS1 car and get an iron block Lq9 out of a Denali. You can swap in a LS subframe into your LT1 car but then your going to have to figure out all the wiring unless this is just going to be a race car.

LT1 will Dyno 250ish at the wheels stock, you are basically trying to triple the HP. GM does not design anything 3 time bigger or stronger then it needs to be.

LQ9 will Dyno 400hp to the wheels stock. Getting to 600 HP is very doable. There are racers that run these motor stock lower ends at 800hp and they can get a season out of them. There are dyno runs of stock Lq9’s hitting 1200 hp but IMO that is not real world.

The problem is your LT1 it is more like an old school 350, its not the newer more advanced designed LS v8. You can run into block limits at around 500 HP. Since your block is not ridged, you will need to replace every single part in it. I am serious every nut and bolt will need upgraded to the highest cost parts available.

Check out sloppy mechanic on youtube, I remember one time Mat (the sloppy mechanic) was asked what he would do if he was stuck with a LT1 his reply was, "I would just shoot myself". Mat is also one of the guys that has gotten over 1000 hp out of near stock LS motors. Mat also did 8's for 8. An 8 second card for 8 grand.

This guy exceeded that by a good margin but I'm sure has spent a hell of a lot of money on it.
Still it's the fastest LT1 on the planet.

I am curious what is a 329 LT1? By definition LT1's are 350s?

DoH! its just a shorter stroke crank.

What I meant by it did not exist and had to be built is, your not just going to bolt on parts and get there. Just like with a small block you need a plan and that plan has very few if any GM production parts in it. The guy putting it together is more like a watch maker then mechanic that fixes broken production cars. Back in my racing days I remember searching the junk yards for 4 bolt main engine. one year I found 5 before season. The engine builder/machinst rejected 3 of them due to casting or manufacture defects. These blocks where not damaged from use just not good enough to be race engines.

with the new holley efi ECU's wiring has become really easy and then you'll run the body harness and ecu harness seperately.

But these guys are right on par, the easiest thing to do is going to be to swap an entire LS subframe or buy a tubular k-member for an LS car and swap an LS in, a heads/cam ls3 will make 550ish + a small shot of nitrous
