Default 95 3.4 oil pan change

Im changing my oil pan because it’s leaking, I’ve done as much research I can and I have a good understanding of what I need to do but I’m a little stuck. Does anyone know if I need to take off the timing cover and starter on a 95 3.4 V6 to take of oil pan? Some sources say yes some no but not clear; if u have changed the oil pan on ur car any tips or tricks? Thanks

not sure if the starter absolutely has to come off but it will make your project so much easier to take it off. not sure why you would need to take front cover off but then i have never worked on a 3.4. did change pan gasket on lt1 and had to lower the rear of the trans a bit to get it to clear, also had to rotate the engine to get the crankshaft to line up as to not stick down and get in the way.
