93 Camaro. v6 3.4L Need Help!!
Ok so i just finally got my car. Got it very cheap. 700bucks. But with a blown engine. Iv'e never worked on one before.
I was wondering if anyone would could answer this question for me.
In order for me to take the engine out, would it have to drop out the bottom, like a v8, to where you take the axle, exhaust manifold and tire off, or would i be able to just disconnect it all, and pull it out with a cherry picker through the hood.
Please get back to me!
thanks!

I've done a lot of engine swaps. I looked at what was going to be required to pull it from the top. But how? Only the front two cylinder stick ahead of the cowl and the upper intake it jammed up against that cowl. You have to do a lot of disassembly to get that motor out the top.
I dropped it out the bottom. It wasn't fun but I think it was easier that the top route.
More accurately, I lowered the front of the car way down while the back wheels were on ramps. The subframe was resting on a dolly. Then I lifted the body up and away from the subframe/engein/trans.
