Default 93 Camaro Intake Manifold Vacuum Fitting? Shaped like a Y tube with 2 branches and a.

Hi, anyone know about the following...

1993 Camaro V-6 Base Intake Manifold Vacuum Fitting? Shaped like a Y tube with 2 branches and a...stem

it's plastic and like you can stick your finger thru the holes

it is for
a 1993 Chevy Camaro Base v-6 Intake Manifold Vacuum Fitting"

it's shaped like a Y

and is connected to the intake manifold

(it looks like the letter Y, but UNLIKE the attached photo it is Plastic and you can stick your finger thru it)

if that part is missing / cracked when u start up the car the rpms go up reallly high and its noisy

kind of scary like the motor will explode

i have a head injury that prevents me from going on hghwy and driving to the junkyard

let me know please, if u have this and I will gladly buy it from you for a profit to you, fellow member(s)

many places have discountinued selling this little plastic piece that looks like the letter "Y" with a stem and 2 branches on each side.

again it's for a 1993 chevy camaro v-6, not sure if the 92 to 94 ones are compatible also

*that brings me to my other question is it just for a 1993 or is there a range 92-94 or up to '95

thanks, thanks a whole lot just for reading this.

thanks to you both. I have ordered an attached one; no more plastic it seems,

my freelance mechanic will have to modify it he said to make it work with my car as the one sold on Ebay attached below which I purchased 1 day ago is threaded and made of steel,

it's like the one in the attached photo

they don't make plastic anymore

but thank you to you both who took the time to reply after reading

have a Happy Holiday season, if the one that comes in is not compatible, then I will definitely by the one Craby showed, that particular part #

thanks again

thanks 406, the only way a 4th gen. driver can get that Y shaped fitting which in good uncracked condition prevents high rpms at start up is to buy the entire plastic harness which has that Y tube fitting as part of it. I ordered the one from Ebay also, the official GM OEM part. You've been a great help. have fun and be safe this Holiday season. Lots of drivers are in a rush. thanks again.
